The Greater New York Chapter invites all alumni, family and friends to its UANYC for Tuscaloosa Fundraiser on Tuesday, May 10 from 6-10 p.m. at The Hill (416 Third Avenue) in Manhattan.
The event benefits the disaster recovery efforts in the Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas in Alabama. Entertainment will be provided by alumni of the University of Alabama Department of Theatre and Dance.
For a minimum suggested donation of $10, The
Hill is providing drink specials of $3 Bud Light drafts, $5 well
drinks, cosmos and apple martinis and $5 Alabama Slammers and Yellow
Hammers.
SILENT AUCTION
The chapter will be conducting a silent auction to raise funds in support of the many recovery efforts in the Tuscaloosa area. All proceeds will benefit the University of Alabama's Acts of Kindness Fund, the West Alabama American Red Cross and future recovery initiatives.
Pre-bids will be accepted via e-mail between now and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10. To submit a pre-bid, send an e-mail to auction@uanyc.com with UANYC Silent Auction in the subject line.
In the e-mail, please indicate:
- The item(s) you would like to bid
-
The minimum and maximum price you would bid on for that item. The
minimum bid must be higher than the reserve price listed below.
- A contact phone number where you can be reached following the event
For those submitting pre-bids: If your maximum pre-bid turns out to be the highest bid on that item after the event, you will be charged the highest price of the in-person bids plus $10. Example: For an item with a reserve price of $100, you submit pre-bid minimum of $200 and maximum of $500. The highest price of the in-person bids ends at $300. This means you would win the item at a cost of $310.
Cash, check and/or credit card will be the acceptable forms of payment for bid items. Checks should be made payable to the Greater New York Alumni Association.
